The Social Democrat’s Liam Coyne says don’t be bullied or scared by the main parties into voting for the same old faces.

The Social Democrat’s Candidate for Dublin South Central Liam Coyne has said people should not be bullied or scared into voting back in the failed policies and politicians of the traditional parties.
The party’s candidate for Dublin South Central says the public’s response to what the Social Democrats are saying has gone down well on the doorsteps of Dublin South Central.
“Obviously what we are talking about in regards housing, childcare, education, social justice and health is resonating with the public, why else would the government’s percentage of the vote be on a downward spiral ours while ours id rising in the opinion polls,” said Liam.
“We in the Social Democrats have highlighted in our campaign not only what is very wrong in Ireland but have also focused on how we can improve and repair so many things in Irish society. We are a positive force for Ireland and we are certainly not whingers,” said Liam.
“The recent scare tactics being engaged in by the Government parties are a blatant attempt to fool people into thinking Ireland needs to put them back in so the country can avoid some sort of chaotic political instability.”
Liam says that y expressing such sentiments during the campaign the government are insulting people’s intelligence. People have a right to vote for whoever they want.
“We are entitled to express our opinions based on what people on the street are telling us on the ground. This government really should have spent more time out of their ivory towers and listened to what people are saying. They might have learned something,” he said.
“There is nothing to fear for voting for a new voice. The Social Democrats are that voice.”
“If Labour and Fine Gael were half as good as they say they are then they would not have to canvass nor would they need to have spent millions of Euro on spin doctors and PR experts to coerce people to vote for them. ”
“This year we celebrate the 100th anniversary of the Easter Rising. The leaders of the rising made the ultimate sacrifice so people would have the freedom to elect their own representatives to their own parliament, and to vote out those who didn’t do their jobs properly,” added Liam.
“There can be no doubt that this government have followed in the footsteps of their immediate predecessors and let the people of Ireland down. Look at the housing crisis, the selective nature of the recovery, water charges, child poverty, and worst of all the shambolic state of our health system.”
It is time somebody new was given the chance to right the wrongs. The Social Democrats are the new Sherriff in town. We have a lot of new fresh ideas that we know will work.
We are asking the public to not only endorse the great work done our existing TDs of Catherine Murphy Roisin Shortall and Stephen Donnelly but add to that team.
