Friday The Day To Bring About A Real Change Vote Number 1 Social Democrat.

Liam Coyne says Friday is the day to make a real change and say ‘Slan’ to Enda, Joan and Co.

As the General Election campaign draws to a close I am making one last request to the people of Dublin South Central and beyond to come out and vote for a real and lasting change.

It is time Ireland moved away from the stale politics of the past.  To do this I ask you to give your number 1 vote to the Social Democrats.

Traditionally either Fine Gael/Lab or Fianna Fail have formed our governments, with predictable results. After what the country has been through in recent years we need to break that political cycle.

This year we celebrate the centenary of the 1916 Rising. It is time to remould Ireland in their image.

Enda Kenny is no Michael Collins, Joan Burton hardly James Connolly, Michael Martin ain’t De Valera nor is Gerry Adams a Padraig Pearse. The truth is the three amigos and Gerry have nothing to offer.

During the campaign the SDs have dealt with the issues facing the country in real and practical way. For the Social Democrats it is not about personal attacks or whinging. It is all about the issues, the issues and the issues.

The Social Democrats offer policies that can change the way things have always been done by various Governments. We are not afraid of making tough decisions, but they will be the right ones.

In our short history the SDs have proven to be a party of the highest integrity. For us there can be no more false promises, and we wont be going into government just for the sake of being in power.

We will always tell the people of Ireland the truth, and will bring an end to the culture of cronyism synonymous with FF, FG and Labour .

On Friday February 26th I ask those of you in Dublin South Central to give me your Number 1 so I can work alongside our co-leaders Stephen Donnelly Catherine Murphy and Roisin Shortall and our other candidates so we can ensure that a better tomorrow becomes a reality.

No matter what the outcome I promise to work and lobby on behalf of the people of South Dublin for as long as I am involved with the Social Democrats.

To those I met on during the campaign- thank you for your time and patience. For those I missed I am sorry we didn’t get to speak, but my door is always open. To my canvass and campaign team a huge thank you. It is hard to put into words how much your hard work on dark, cold wet nights meant to me.
Yours Liam Coyne.
