“Now the Phoney War is over it is time to get rid of the phoneys.”

Hi Liam here.

The general election has just been called. We in Dublin South Central need to take on the power and money of the big parties, especailly those who promise a lot and offer nothing but failed ideology of the past.

This time, the parties have more money than ever – Fine Gael, for example, has €3m to spend centrally.Things must certainly be getting better for their supporters.

The rest of us and in particular in Dublin South Central don’t have the luxury of support from big business, vested interests or those who have pals involved in illegal activities.

The establishment can easily pay to have their posters put up, pay to have leaflets dropped, pay to put up huge billboards, and so on.

The election is in 24 days – the only way we can compete with that sort of money is with volunteers.
So far we have a great bunch of volunteers putting in a Trojan effort for me and the Social Democrats. But we want more involved.

So please – get in touch, come out with us for one canvass (one evening, 90 minutes), help us put some posters up, or if you can, donate.Only together can we compete with the money & size of the big parties – we did it before, and I need your help now to do it again.

Looking forward to meeting with people during the campaign in Dublin South Central, and don’t be shy all are welcome.

We can do this.

Liam
